One Island Two Countries One Destroyed One Not

I have been having a hard time understanding how an earthquake of this magnitude can hit the isle of Hispanola destroy one country and not touch the second. Haiti which is 1/3 of the island is destroyed. Dominican Republic which makes up 2/3 of the island is untouched.

Formaldehyde Tainted Trailers Revisited

Here we go again. FEMA got busted for forcing the formaldehyde tainted trailers on unsuspecting Americans during the Hurricane Katrina fiasco. Now they want to ship them to HAITI. (AZ Republic January 30, 2010, pg A18) Haven’t these people learning anything yet? This idea is being pushed by the recreational-vehicle and trailer industry.
So far AID (US Agency for International Development)is rejecting the idea as is the Haitian Culture and Communications Minister Marie Laurence Lassegue.

Let your Congress people know what you think about this idea.

One Island. Two Countries. Only One Devastated

One Island, Hispanola. Two Countries, Haiti and Domician Republic, sharing the same land mass. How is it that Haiti is devastated and the Dominion Republic is unscathed? Natural diasters do not discriminate. What's wrong with this picture?

During Hurricane Katrina the US public raised one billion for the Red Cross and we haven't heard a peep about it since. Just as in business those who have been the most effective on the ground have been the small non profits who have been toiling away, getting the job done. So please find an organization that has been there doing the job and donate to them to insure that the money reaches the people of Haiti in a timely manner.

FBI Investigated Michael Jackson for TEN Years.

Jackson's FBI files released. "The FBI monitored Michael Jackson for more than a decade, but the files contained no major revelations about his private life and the bureau apparently never developed any solid evidence against him". Arizona Republic p.A8 by Hillel Italie Associated Press.

Amazing all the press that went on before and this was buried in the paper.
I hope someone gives a copy of this to his kids after all the editorials, jokes, cartoons, etc that were spewed out.

The newspapers wonder why they continue to lose readership.

New Moon Matinee

I took my daughter ot the matinee for New Moon. It was all middle aged women, there were very few children. My daughter loved the movie hated the ending. I thought the ending was perfect.

So where do you stand on Vampire vs. Werewolf? Wolf wins or Vampire. How do you vote?

Mark Robbins, Dean of Syracuse University's School of Architecture is desperately seeking young men and women of color interested in pursuing a five year professional degree in Architecture. He says he's deeply committed to bringing diversity to his field and has scholarship money set aside to fully cover education costs for 10 students. He says that Hispanic enrollment in the school has increased substantially, but it's been harder to attract Blacks. Syracuse University School of Architecture has a great reputation and this seems like a terrific opportunity, so please pass this on to everyone you know.

MJ Movie Premier

I attended the Michael Jackson Movie Premier. Go See it. No matter where you stand on many public issues in his life, the fact remains Michael Jackson was very much the Humanitarian, that comes out in the movie. Muhammad Ali and his wife were there. Please say a pray for him. Parkinson is really taking a toll on him.



I had to drag my daughter to the movie but she loved it. I had to explain some things that came from songs well before her time.(She's eleven).
